It is checked whether the infection has reached the nerve in the tooth. The abscess should be evacuated, the infected area should be cleaned and root canal treatment should be applied. In some abscesses, root canal treatment alone may not be sufficient. In such cases, surgical procedures can be applied.

• You should pay attention to your total oral care and hygiene so that tooth abscesses do not recur.
• Oral hygiene is provided by using dental waters such as mouthwash.
• Have your dentist regularly check and clean your teeth.
